What is a FASTag?
The FASTag is Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) Tag. The FASTag enables automatic deduction of toll charges and lets you pass through the toll plaza without stopping for the cash transaction. The amount is deducted from linked prepaid account.

Steps to apply Paytm FASTag
- Click here and go to PayTm FASTag apply page
- Enter your vehicle registration number
- Upload your vehicle front photo and Back photo of RC. Make sure the photo maximum size is 2MB
- Click Processed to Pay button
- Registor or signin to your paytm account and complete the payment
Paytm FASTag cost
The Refundable Security Deposit is Rs. 200 and minimum balance Rs. 150 added to your FASTag. So total Rs. 400
- Tag Issuance Cost Rs: ₹ 0
- Refundable Security Deposit: ₹ 250
- Threshold Amount (will be added to your Paytm FASTag wallet): ₹ 150*
- This pricing is applicable for tags purchased via Paytm Mall only.
Paytm FASTag Features
- The FASTag is linked with your registered paytm account wallet
- Toll charges are deducted automatically from linked wallet
- Get 2.5% cashback on all NHAI toll charges paid for 2019-20
How to use Paytm FASTag?
Step 1: Post-purchase, affix the tag on your vehicle’s windshield.
Step 2: Add sufficient money to your Paytm Wallet using UPI or from any bank account.
Step 3: Enter dedicated FASTag lane at NHAI Toll Plaza. Reader at the plaza will read your tag’s detail and applicable toll charges will automatically get deducted from your Paytm wallet.
