How to resolve the Amazon Pay UPI SMS verification issue

Here I am sharing basic troubleshooting steps to resolve the Amazon Pay UPI SMS verification issue. Google Pay is a leading UPI service provider, now Amazon also started UPI payments.

Click there and install Amazon App and enable your Amazon Pay UPI payment.

Amazon upi sms verification failed

The UPI SMS verification failed multiple times for me. Also, the SMS cost is deducted on each attempt.

Follow the below troubleshooting steps and resolved your Amazon UPI SMS verification.

Mobile SIM Balance

Yes, the SMS cost is applicable for SMS verification. So kindly check your balance before the verification. SMS cost is mostly Rs. 1.50.

Amazon App permissions

  • Go to mobile Settings
  • Tap Apps & notifications
  • Click the Amazon App
  • Verify all the permissions has enabled
  • If not enabled, give the all the permissions

Amazon App Update

Also, Update your Amazon App in Play Store. Important to update the App to the latest version.

Disable Receive Instant SMS Messages (Oppo & Realme)

  • Go to mobile settings
  • Tab systems Apps
  • In Systems Apps select the “Messages”
  • Deselect the below mentioned two options

Disable VOLTE

Some devices getting messages pop up when the SMS is charged. That time the verification will fail

  • Go to mobile network settings
  • Disable VOLTE option
  • Try the verification process

Disable Wifi Calling

  • Go to mobile network settings
  • Disable WiFi calling option
  • Try the verification process

Switch to 3G/2G network

Try to switch the network to 3G and do the verification.
